39th ANNUAL ROTARY EASTER ART SHOW, HALLS GAP:

Centennial Hall, in the main road, in beautiful Halls Gap

Hello to all our artistic friends it is approaching that time when the club is sending out invitations to enter the 39th, annual running, of the Rotary Stawell Inc. Easter Art Show for 2012.
The show opens to the public on Good Friday, with the times opening at 10.00 AM closing at 4.30 PM on Friday and Saturday April 6 and 7.
Opening times vary on Sunday from 10.00 AM to a late close at approx. 8.00 PM, and on Monday the 9th from 10.00 AM to 3.30 PM when the show closes.

Entry forms are available from the Art Show co-ordinator Rtn Kimberley Gehan, C/- PO Box 43, Stawell Vic. 3380. Or by phoning 0418 536 890. Due to privacy issues on line registration is not available.

It should be a great show this year, with a number of our excellent artists showing again with us this year with several categories, open to all entrants, Oil & Acrylic, Water colour and Other mediums, being Pencil Charcoal, Pen and Ink etc. Please note this is not a photographic exhibition, and photos will not be accepted in any medium at all, and most particularly in the other mediums section.

We also have a most popular work in show, award as voted for by the public. And an Acquisition prize of $1000. An exciting return for Junior Artists is to be reinstated after some years away, this year. This section will be open to junior artists at secondary College level, in the age bracket, 14 to 18 years. [Proof of attendance at college will be required].

All further detail is on the application form and conditions of entry. But come along and visit the show or better still enter a work in the show, it promises to be an exciting time. Come along and enjoy the Friendly atmosphere, good Art work, and stay for a day or a few days, and enjoy the beauty of Halls Gap and surrounds, fine dining and wineries,
Not forgetting of course the heats and finals of the famous Stawell Gift, run at Central Park, and that is only 29 K’s away, it’s all happening at the Gap over Easter.
